Remember the Places We Played | Ana Lorenza
Ana Lorenza is a painter and sculptor who was born and raised in Las Vegas. Her work is inspired by people in her life, her own personal journey, and the beautiful environment she has been blessed to be in almost her entire life; that is the Las Vegas Valley.
Artist’s Statement about the piece:
“Remember the Places We Played is based on images/places from my childhood which were all in Las Vegas. The image of the slide is from Lorenzi Park on Washington Ave. where my family used to go often. The house-like image is actually the Cape Cod apartments on Lake Mead Blvd where I lived when I was 5-6 years old. Lastly, the background image is of the backyard of the house I lived in from age 7-11 years old. That house is located by Jones and the 95 freeway.”
